Laser Cover Etching

We offer a range of options to accent nearly all Finao products with custom cover text and graphics. Add the special details that are meaningful to your client and reflect their taste and lifestyle.

Our laser etching provides an alternative when choosing cover materials that cannot be imprinted, or when you need custom fonts, longer text, or complex graphics. Laser-applied text and designs are available on velvet, acrylic, Bullet ™ metal, and wood veneer surfaces. We're also experimenting with leather lasering to bring you another option.

Etching Guidelines

• Create any design as a .jpg file of at least 600 PPI
• Designs should be a minimum of one inch smaller on all sides than the area you wish to etch
• Finer details may not etch clearly, depending on the material (e.g., hard surfaces will show fine line detail better than soft). But you can push the envelope without taking a risk—we will contact you if your image may not render well.
• etching can be combined with tone stripes and cutout images

In general, laser etching will not require the use of a template. If you need to reference the relative size of a cover panel or stripe for your album, templates are included in the zip files for each product. You can find these on our Templates & Design Guides feature page.
